The awareness campaign for structured products came to a successful end

After the guerrilla campaign on July 1, 2019 for the opening of the hot summer month, the deritrade customer event in Zurich’s Fischstube was the perfect closing of the awareness campaign for financial education. The mission: to make the world of structured products more accessible and understandable in the future.

The campaign began with a guerrilla event on July 1, 2019. About 20 air unicorns adorned the Vontobel building at Bleicherweg 21 in Zurich. With the derihorses, Vontobel launched its awareness-raising campaign aimed at bringing the world of structured products closer to a wider audience. The deritrade team at Vontobel provided an introduction to the topic of structured products for all those who are interested in the subject of financial assets or want to get a feel for it. For the fun factor in financial education and for the of the summer phase, the deritrade team distributed the popular “derihorses” in front of the Vontobel building to all those who published a social media post with the hashtag #derihorse.

The fastest derihorse jumper and lucky winner

The #derihorse BBQ evening on July 19, 2019 in the Fischstube at Zürichhorn was the closing event of the awareness-raising campaign. There numerous deritrade customers gathered with friends and family to cool off in the lake with the popular derihorses. To make the jump into the cool water easier, a very challenging competition was held: the customer who sat on the derihorse the fastest out of the water won an overnight stay including breakfast in the Giardino Ascona for two people. We were delighted to present the prize to Frank Huber from Raiffeisen Bank Horgen. The consolation prizes went to Barbara Huber (Rocco Maiullari Vermögensverwaltung und Finanzberatung AG), Pietro Radicioni (Vontobel Wealth Management), Luca Bornhauser (Graubündner Kantonalbank), Sandro Gabathuler (Graubündner Kantonalbank), and Salvatore Di Secli (Heinemann, Di Secli & Partner AG). They were allowed to take home a Plansch & Brunch voucher for Giardino in Zurich.


In addition to the entertainment activities, a delicious barbecue buffet and drinks provided the well-deserved refreshment. The exuberant summer evening, as if from a picture book, gave the world of structured products a certain lightness and accessibility. With fun and networking questions could be asked and suggestions exchanged.
