New on deritrade: Callable BRC on Space Exploration Technologies Corporation

Published on 09.06.2026 CEST

SpaceX is preparing for what could become the largest IPO in history, with the company targeting a USD 75 billion capital raise and an implied valuation of almost USD 1.77 trillion.

The offering would surpass the previous IPO record and provide public market investors with access to a company that has evolved far beyond its origins as a launch provider.

Today, SpaceX operates across several rapidly growing areas, including rocket launches, satellite communications, and artificial intelligence. Starlink, the company's satellite internet business, has become a significant source of cash flow, serving approximately 10.3 million subscribers across 164 countries. At the same time, the company's acquisition of xAI has increased its exposure to the rapidly expanding AI infrastructure market. Central to the company's long-term strategy is Starship, which SpaceX views as essential for deploying larger satellite networks, enabling direct-to-cell connectivity, and supporting future plans for orbital data centers.

SpaceX's reflects the convergence of AI and space infrastructure. The company recently entered into an agreement under which Anthropic will pay USD 1.25 billion per month through May 2029 for AI computing capacity, highlighting growing demand for large-scale computing resources. While significant investments in AI and spacecraft development continue to weigh on profitability, the company is positioning itself to participate in some of the largest technology and infrastructure opportunities of the coming decade.
